Annuity Comparison | I have some annuities in Western Reserve Life. Our employer set it up, but I didn't know the complexities of annuities and WRL doesn't have very clear and transparent information about their services.
I would like to compare WRL with other companies and see if this is a vehicle I'd like to continue using. That, or move assets from WRL elsewhere. |  | asked by gjay, 4/8/2010 |

If you're looking at comparing your current annuity to the other options available through other companies, you should probably start with a basic annuity calculator, such as the one found at https://www.newretirement.com/Services/Annuity_Calculator.aspx. This will give you some idea of what the basic amounts available for a given annuity are, and thus if your current one is comparable to the industry averages.
Once you've done that, one of the better ways to proceed is to simply talk to a few other Annuity companies. NewRetirement has partners that can explain to you what your options would be if you did decide to proceed with a different annuity. https://www.newretirement.com/Services/Annuities.aspx is a good place to start to find other highly-rated companies to see what options they have for you.
