QUESTION:

Dementia coverage

My husband (59 yrs old) has recently been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and I (age 54 yrs old) have recently left employment for Long Term Disability.
My question is: If something happens and my husband has to be placed in a Nursing Facility, is the cost covered by Medicare?

Most retirees have questions and concerned about long term care coverage. And, indeed... Medicare does NOT cover long term care costs.

If you qualify for Medicaid, Medicaid does cover long term care.
