EX-HUSBAND ALIVE AND I CAN'T COLLECT ON HIS AS MINE IS MORE THAN HALF OF HIS.

I WAS MARRIED TO MY EX HUSBAND FOR 13 YEARS. WHEN I WAS 62 I CALLED TO SEE IF I WAS ENTITLED TO MY EX HUSBAND'S S.S. I WAS TOLD AS LONG AS HE IS ALIVE I COULD COLLECT ALL OF MINE OR HALF OF HIS. I AM NOW 80 AND TRYING TO EXIST ON $914/MO., MY S.S. AS IT IS MORE THAN HALF OF HIS. IS THERE A NEW LAW THAT CAN HELP ME? HE IS STILL ALIVE.

If you wish to maximize your social security benefits, it's possible to "reset" your benefits and adjust them to a more advantageous level. To do this, you would wish to speak to the social security administration or a finanicial advisor
