Regarding healthcare supplement plans, is it true that a Medigap plan is the only plan that is portable; -- (can be taken to another state with a relocation)?

There are other plans that can be taken across state lines. You should contact your plan provider for details.

There are an evergrowing number of Medigap plans.

Your best option may be to talk with an insurer who may be able to help you find a plan that best meets your need for portability as well as any other specific needs you have like prescription drug coverage and more.
