QUESTION:

Will HUD allow a Modular home be used to replace a home distroyed by fire

My father has a reverse mortgage on a home that was burned out. He wants to rebuild with a modular home of about the same size i.e. 1300 sq, ft. Will HUD allow it. He is putting a full foundation /basement in to replace a crawl space.

He needs to call the lender to discuss.

Im worried that the value wont be similar enough.
