I've been told that I can draw SS at age 59 1/2. Is this true. I am a disabled veteran of the Vietnam war and draw disability from the VA. I'm unable to draw disability from SS and SSI. will I be able to draw SS and at what %.

The Social Security Administration has a good tool to help you figure out eligibility for benefits.

I don't know if it is true of veterans taking Social Security, but it is important for most people to weigh the pros of taking Social Security early and getting benefits for a longer period of time verses delaying the start of Social Security and earning a higher amount of money in each time period.
