• Question
  • Retirement and Family Benefits

Asked by someone from Lubbock, TX on 4/1/2019

I am having difficulty understanding how to maximize my retirement decision, especially regarding family benefits.
I reach full retirement age on November 24.
I have a spouse who is 42 years of age.
I have two young boys, 9 and 11 years of age.
At full retirement, I would receive about $2246 per month.
My total family benefits cannot be more than $3957 per month
How might I maximize the amount we could receive per month?
What is the most income I could receive with a job if I were to retire on November 24?
