    at what age after 1955 are you allowed to make as much income as you want

  • You are always allowed to make as much income as you want, though I assume your question is in regard to the earnings limit.

    For those born in 1955, your full retirement age is 66 and 2 months. At your full retirement age, you are no longer subject to the income limit which withholds $1 for every $2 earned above $18,240 in 2020.
